Christina Richards is a mom of three who moved from Brooklyn to Florida in 2011 to raise her family. After her third child was born in 2015, she wanted to get fit again and set a goal to run a marathon within 1 year postpartum. After accomplishing that, she continued to run a few more half marathons and started some strength training. Eventually, amidst all the chaos of raising small children, she found CrossFit. She quickly fell in love with weightlifting after learning the basics in CrossFit. After she finding herself cherry-picking all the barbell WODs, she realized it was time to take the plunge and compete in weightlifting.
As an athlete, Christina has had a prolific career, despite only joining the sport in 2018. She is currently a member of one of the best female weightlifting teams in the country, Catalyst Athletics, and she is coached by International Level Coach, Greg Everett. Above are some of her recent accomplishments as a 64kg weightlifter.
Amidst chasing her dreams and supporting her family, Christina is a passionate coach. She is currently a USAW-L1 coach and she has experience coaching weightlifters of all levels and helping them achieve their goals.
